Police probe body find

Police are investigating the discovery of a body at a construction site in Tavua yesterday.

The deceased is a 58-year-old from Navatu, Rakiraki. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the body was discovered early yesterday morning.

“A 25-year-old carpenter of Lovu, Lautoka reported that he found one of his colleagues lying motionless inside a building in Tavua Town,” Ms Naisoro said.

“The deceased was found in a partially constructed building where the victim and co-workers would go and rest.

“A post mortem (examination) will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.”
