Police nab alleged bootlegger in Tailevu village

Fiji Police has arrested a man in Tailevu for allegedly selling liquor from his home.

The arrest was made following a raid conducted on Wednesday June 2.

Police said the suspect’s home is located within a village setting.

Several cans of assorted liquor were found and seized.

The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.

“The Fiji Police Force is urging members of the public to report anyone involved in the illegal sale of liquor, said Fiji Police.

“We seek public cooperation in the sharing of information as liquor related incidents have led to serious harm and the loss of lives which continues to be a concern.”
