Fiji Police state an investigation is underway following an incident where a 3-month-old baby was left alone in a car.

The element of negligence is being investigated by Lautoka Police.

Police had arrived at the vehicle and soon after the child’s parents also came, according to a video that went viral on social media.

The parents were warned and released as investigations are underway.

The Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu described the incident as extremely troubling warning parents and guardians to prioritise the welfare of their children at all times.
