Fiji Police Force now has a permanent booth and a berthing area for its patrol boats at Port Denarau Marina.
A memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed today between the Fiji Police Force and the Port Denarau Marina Limited (PDML) to formalise this.
“Fiji Police Force is glad that this partnership has finally materialized and moving forward we can continue to work together to minimise issues that affect tourists or anyone coming over to Port Denarau,” said Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew.
The agreement will allow for joint efforts in border control surveillance, enforcement and security.
The Acting Commissioner believes that working with PDML and other stakeholders on the premises will assist the Fiji Police Force in combating crime.
