Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Kasiano Vusonilawe says police are doing more than just providing security on game days at the Crest Fiji Primary School Netball Tournament.

Mr Vusonilawe said officers are also visiting places where teams are staying to make sure students are safe at all times. Police are working closely with organisers, teachers, and those in charge of student welfare throughout the tournament.

“We are not only focused on game days. We are also visiting where teams are staying and working together with everyone involved,” he said.

He added that keeping students safe was everyone’s responsibility.

“It’s a whole-of-society approach,” he said. Police presence remains strong as the tournament continues, with safety a key priority on and off the court.
