THE unbeaten run of the Police Blue Women’s side continues after a determined semi-final 19-7 victory over QVSOB Women in Suva last weekend.
Captain Reapi Didreuva praised her players for their commitment and teamwork, saying preparation and discipline were key factors behind the win.
Didreuva said the team focused heavily on improving their defence and communication leading into the crucial clash, areas she believed made the difference on the field.
“We prepared well for the semi-final, and I thank the girls for the hard work and teamwork they showed during the match,” she said.
The side faced difficult weather conditions during the encounter but still managed to grind out an important victory to book a place in the final.
Didreuva acknowledged that balancing rugby and work commitments has not been easy for the squad, with several players involved in sevens rugby while others serve as police officers.
“They managed to do their work and still come for training. We thank the girls for giving their time and effort,” she said.
With the final looming next weaknesses and maintaining their unbeaten record.
“Our aim is to win this tournament,” Didreuva added while also thanking families, coaches and management for their continued support throughout the campaign.
Police Blue will face Noalolo Combine in the Central Women’s Club Games final this Saturday at Veiuto ground.
