THE plea date for Ratu Peceli Rosotokaicake Rokoravolo, who is charged with the murder of Dr Isireli Biumaitotoya, has been deferred to December 3.

The incident allegedly took place between August 31 and September 1 in Nadi.

State prosecutor Joeli Nasa told the court five volumes of disclosures have been filed, which include 41 witness statements, a flash drive containing the video-recorded interviews and charging interview of the accused.

Defence lawyer Unaisi Baleilevuka sought 14 days to review the disclosures with her client before he takes his plea.

The court heard the defence was not contesting Ratu Peceli’s caution interview.

Justice Aruna Aluthge granted the defence’s request and adjourned the matter before further remanding Ratu Peceli.
