Penang High School was crowned the boys winner of the Ra Zone meet at the Ra Sports Ground on Friday.
Penang High School won the boys title with 17 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze medals.
Nakauvadra High School came in second with 12 gold, 10 silver and nine bronze medal while Rakiraki Public High School came third with nine gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals.
In the girls division, Ra High School won the overall title with 14 gold, seven silver and 10 bronze medals.
Penang High School came second with 12 gold, 11 silver and five bronze, and Nasau Central College settling for third position with 11 gold, 12 silver and one bronze medal.
Ra Zone athletics president Dhirendra Prasad said a total of 650 athletes from seven schools took part in the two-day competition.
“The games went well with slight hiccups.
“On Thursday the weather was perfect, however, on Friday, it rained from the first event right to the last,” he said.
Prasad said the wet ground made it difficult for the athletes to compete to their level best.
