The Pearls maintained a steady lead over the Pepes, holding the fort strongly with a 31-18 lead at half-time.
It was a strong showing from the team, who won over their opponents after earlier losses in the competition, currently underway in Sydney, Australia.
On Thursday, in their second match, the Pearls were beaten by Black Swans Australia 61-37.
In their first match on Wednesday, the Pearls were beaten 53-47 by the Singapore V.
Coached by Michelle Parsons, the team continues to grow from strength to strength in their first outing under her guidance as head coach.
In today’s fixtures of the Spirit Series at the Netball Centre within the Sydney Olympic Park, the bronze medal match kicks off at 10am while the gold medal match begins at 12pm.
A four-hour flight away from Fiji, the Pearls are not alone in Sydney with members of the Fijian community and netball fans turning up in numbers to cheer them on and bridge the distance between Australia and Fiji.
