Parking charges to increase

Parking charges at the Nadi and Nausori airports go up from January 1, Fiji Airports has announced.

The hourly rate will now be $2.50 for the first hour, an increase from the current charge of $1.50.

An additional $2.50 per hour charge will apply for each half-hour after the first hour.

A new daily rate of $37.50 will apply above eight hours compared with the current daily rate of $15.

For a 48-hour parking, there will be a charge of $50.

Drivers who lose tickets will pay $50 for a lost ticket in addition to the hourly or long-term parking rate.

Illegally parked vehicles will be clamped for $56.24.
