Parents whose combined income is $50,000 or below are required to fill a manual application form that will be available from respective schools from tomorrow, January 11, 2023, to access the $200 per child assistance.

Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad highlighted this at a press conference in Suva this afternoon on the assistance program.

Professor Prasad said a separate application form must be filled for each student.

“A family with three students will have to fill three application forms,” the Finance Minister said.

“The completed application forms then need to be submitted to the schools for verification,” he added.

Prof Prasad said a circular would be issued tomorrow to schools on the roles and responsibilities of teachers on the effective rollout of this initiative.

The $200 per child back to school initiative is only eligible for families with a combined income of $50,000 or below.
