The People’s Alliance Party (PAP) leads national party support with 27.5 per cent among decided voters, according to the first wave of the Fiji National Electoral Opinion Survey conducted by the Centre for Democracy and Dialogue (CDD).
The September–October 2026 survey, which recorded 1,673 completed interviews, places Unity Fiji in second position with 13.6 per cent, closely followed by the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) with 13.1 per cent.
The National Federation Party (NFP) received 12.5 per cent support, while People First recorded 10.9 per cent.
The Fiji Labour Party (FLP) received eight per cent, followed by NextGen with 6.7 per cent and One Nation with 5.7 per cent.
The figures are based on 1,360 decided voters, excluding respondents who were undecided, non-voters or refused to state their preference.
The survey also provides an illustrative allocation of parliamentary seats based on the D’Hondt electoral system and a five per cent party threshold.
Under this calculation, PAP would secure 16 of the 55 parliamentary seats, followed by Unity Fiji with eight seats.
SODELPA and NFP would each receive seven seats, while People First would secure six.
FLP and NextGen would each receive four seats, with One Nation allocated three seats.
A party or coalition would need 28 seats to command a parliamentary majority.
CDD stressed that the seat allocation was a mathematical illustration based on the survey findings and should not be interpreted as a prediction of the composition of the next Parliament.
