Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s Peoples Alliance Party is now looking for candidates for 2026 general election.
Those interested are being asked to send an expression of interest to the party.
The party said it wants candidates with high standards of ethics, integrity and moral courage, amongst other requirements.
“The People’s Alliance seeks individuals with solid community or professional track record in their area of expertise with 5 years as a minimum,” states the party.
“A prospective candidate will be expected to steer clear of controversial and related issues, that may discredit the candidate and the Party.”
“Candidates will be expected to contribute financially towards the PA national campaign fund apart from their own individual campaign funding.”
“Each successful candidate is expected to sign a Declaration of Loyalty Pledge to the Party and abide by this Declaration.”
Applications close on June 30.
