FIJI will host the 11th South Pacific Defence Ministers’ Meeting next week from September 21 to 24 at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort in Denarau, Nadi.
The three-day event will bring together Defence Ministers, Secretaries, and Chiefs of Defence Force will address pressing regional security challenges.
This year’s summit focuses heavily on traditional and non-traditional threats, including climate change and the rise of transnational organised crime across the region.
Leaders will also discuss key operational frameworks, such as the Women, Peace and Security initiative, the Pacific Response Group, and future regional deployment protocols.
