OUTSOURCE Fiji stamped its mark at this year’s Fiji Showcase where it hosted an engaging and interactive booth that brought the country’s growing outsourcing industry directly to the public.
Held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, the event featured a rotating lineup of Outsource Fiji’s member companies from the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO), and Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) sectors. These operators shared with the public their success stories, career pathways, service offerings and technological innovations, providing insight into how Fiji is evolving into a global outsourcing destination.
The initiative allowed students, jobseekers, and business owners to engage directly with industry professionals, helping to demystify outsourcing and highlight its local impact.
Outsource Fiji executive director Josefa Wivou said the event aligned strongly with Outsource Fiji’s Strategic Plan 2021–2025, particularly its goals around industry growth, workforce development and talent readiness.
“Our participation at Fiji Showcase strongly supports Outsource Fiji’s Strategic Plan, especially around industry growth and workforce development. By being visible, engaging directly with the public, and showcasing our member companies, we are actively contributing to building a talent pipeline and attracting investment.
“These moments of direct interaction are key to demystifying outsourcing and making it more inclusive, especially for youth and those seeking new career paths.
“This is how we transform the future of Fiji’s services industry from the ground up,” Mr Wivou said.
Additionally, arketing and communications consultant Pravin Narain elaborated on the collective involvement of member companies demonstrating the strength and diversity of the sector.
He said Outsource Fiji didn’t just showcase companies but a movement, noting how their collaboration showed that outsourcing in Fiji is people-focused, locally driven and full of promise.
“Fiji Showcase 2025 gives us a rare opportunity to bring the outsourcing industry directly to the public.
“Many people still associate outsourcing with overseas companies, but we want to change that narrative.”
The Fiji Showcase ended last Sunday.
