OPPOSITION Whip Lynda Tabua and Opposition MP Viliame Gavoka are leading a delegation to Sigatoka this hour.

Ms Tabuya said they were going to show solidarity to the people of Sigatoka.

“We are going to show solidarity to the people of Sigatoka, we are heading down there now,” she said this morning.

Ms Tabuya said they would also do a site check of the Sigatoka River mouth.

The Opposition walked out of Parliament yesterday as an expression of disappointment against Speaker Ratu Epeli Nailatikau’s decision to refuse a petition they brought to the House from the tikina Nasigatoka.

The petition was against magnetite mining at the mouth of the Sigatoka River.
