The Fiji Police Force has launched an operation aimed to assist street dwellers to return home or find solutions to the problems they are currently facing.
The Operation Lesu-I-Vale was launched this morning in a bid to assist street dwellers overcome personal challenges.
According to Police the humanitarian effort is being conducted in partnership with the Force, Ministry of Health and Medical Services, Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Ministry of Social Welfare and the Suva City Council.
Police said this morning the men and women were escorted to the Fiji Police Academy where both medical and counseling services were offered.
“A medical team also had the opportunity conduct COVID-19 health awareness, vaccinations and counsel ling sessions with officials from the St Giles Hospital also present.”
