Passengers using Oinafa Jetty in Rotuma will have to wait for improved toilet and washroom facilities, with refurbishment works scheduled to begin in the second quarter of the financial year.

Minister for Public Works, Meteorological Services and Transport Ro Filipe Tuisawau told Parliament that the existing passenger facility, including its public toilets, was currently closed because of its deteriorated condition.

He said the Fiji Roads Authority had assessed the facility, with planned upgrades to include disability-friendly provisions to improve accessibility for elderly passengers and persons with disabilities.
