Oceania Football Confederation Champions League 2018 quarter-finalists Solomon Warriors and Marist FC made bright starts to the 2018 TSL Champoinship last week with both notching comprehensive wins on opening day.
Warriors kicked off the action with a 5-0 victory over Real Kakamora FC, with their participation in the regional competition giving Moses Toata’s side a head start in the fitness stakes over their opponents.
For Marist, 90 consistent minutes of football and a goal in either half from veteran Abraham Iniga, helped them see off FC Guadalcanal. Two further matches were played on Sunday with KOSSA and Western United drawing their encounter 2-2, while Malaita Kingz made short work of Henderson Eels to secure a 4-0 victory.
