Not guilty

Parramatta Eels rugby league player Semi Radradra, on Tuesday, did not plead guilty to allegations made by his former partner, Perina Ting when he appeared at the Parramatta Court.

He was charged with assault after he was arrested a week ago when he returned to Australia after a short break on his island home, Taveuni.

Radradra, 24, Australian media reported yesterday, is charged with two counts of common assault and one count of causing actual bodily harm in relation to alleged incidents involving his estranged partner, Ting.

Ting made untested allegations that she was the victim of three attacks at the hands of the footballer — including one alleged assault when she was nine months pregnant.

Radradra entered a not guilty plea to all charges during a brief mention, with bail and AVO conditions continued.

He will reappear in Parramatta Local Court on August 16.

Radradra did not respond to questions as he arrived at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday but a supporter shouted: “Leave him alone”.
