Nobody can come from outside to take this organisation forward, said Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu.

He made the comments while speaking at Senior Officers Seminar in Suva who gathered to assess the progress of the Australian Federal Police supported FPF Uplift program.

“Nobody can come from outside to take this organisation forward,” said.

“We are here as a team to do that, and the Uplift will assist us in taking this organisation forward.”

The seminar also discussed the proposed Fiji Police Force Strategic Plan from 2025 to 2029.

“We live in a time of extraordinary change. From cyber threats, including new AI-generated and transnational crimes, to community safety, climate-driven security risks, and technological disruptions, our nation faces a dynamic and evolving landscape,” said Minister for Policing, Ioane Naivalurua.

“This retreat comes at a defining time in our nation’s journey, a time when your role, your leadership, and your credibility are being put to the test. In such a landscape, law enforcement is not just a job – it is a national pillar.”
