FIJI Airways Fiji Men’s 7s team are gearing up for the Valladolid leg in Spain of the HSBC SVNS World Championships with great focus.
With no major injuries in the squad, the team is poised to better their current fifth-place standing when the tournament begins from May 29-31 in Spain.
Assistant coach Jerry Tuwai expressed the team’s enthusiasm for the upcoming challenge and showed confidence in their readiness upon arrival in Spain.
“At the moment all the boys are training well throughout this week (last week) with two very good sessions. The boys are healthy and they are ready to go,” Tuwai said with confidence.
“They are excited about the game and at this moment there is no major injury in the team.”
The side will open its campaign against France on Friday, May 29 at 11.40pm.
They then face USA at 4.24am on May 30 before taking on the hosts at 12.12am on May 31.
