The Consumer Council of Fiji is calling on Fijians to report any sightings of animals inside restaurants.

This comes after a customer, while dining at a local restaurant, saw a cat eating directly from the food warmer.

“Upon receiving the complaint, the Council promptly conducted an inspection and issued a stern warning to the restaurant,’ said the Fiji Consumer Council is a statement.

“The non-compliance findings were escalated to the Municipal Council, which has since initiated legal action against the establishment.”

“If you encounter any similar issues, don’t hesitate to contact the Council through our toll-free helpline at 155 or email us at complaints@consumersfiji.org.”
