If reports prove true, the last single member of One Direction, Niall Horan, could well be off the market after falling for an unknown Aussie girl, Melissa Anne Whitelaw.
Whitelaw is, according to reports, a journalism student and a budding singer-songwriter who met Horan during the band’s whistlestop visit to Australia in November for the ARIAs.
Whitelaw, who was born and raised in Sydney, has been on the receiving end of jibes and insults from One Direction fans worldwide since it was revealed this week that Horan could now be off the market.
Videos and pictures of Horan holding hands and kissing the brown-eyed long-haired stunner at The Star casino at the weekend have gone viral in recent days prompting Whitelaw to retreat from social media after being trolled mercilessly.
No less than seven Facebook accounts are now devoted to the young Miranda Kerr-lookalike.
The 21-year-old, who goes by the nicknames “Melly” and “Mel”, is described as being a 173cm tall Gemini whose interests include fashion and fitness.
“Melly” is also an animal lover with two birds, a bunny and a pug dog.
A keen performer and prolific publisher of selfies to social media, Whitelaw has cited her favourite bands as One Direction, John Mayer, Mariana’s Trench, McFly/McBusted and The 1975.
She dreams of being a model or a singer – ambitions that will now likely receive a boost thanks to her recent hook-up with Horan.
