M-PAISA has announced its first-ever sports sponsorship, backing the Netball Fiji Rally in a move aimed at strengthening grassroots women’s netball across the country.
The nationwide rally will involve districts from the Central, Eastern, Western and Northern divisions, with competitions stretching from Suva and Nasinu to Sigatoka, Rakiraki, Labasa, Savusavu, Bua and Taveuni.
Speaking at the launch, Digital Financial Services Pte Limited general manager said the sponsorship reflected M-PAISA’s commitment to supporting grassroots women’s sports and creating opportunities for young players.
“The rally would provide a pathway for talented players, particularly those from rural communities to progress to the national level and eventually pursue professional opportunities overseas,” he said.
“The sponsorship also aims to encourage healthy lifestyles, teamwork and mentorship while helping young girls stay engaged in sport.”
M-PAISA said it was proud to partner with Netball Fiji and its parent company, Vodafone Fiji, to help develop the sport and inspire the next generation of netballers.
