Life after Rugby Barbarians was glad to have Bumble Bee Seafood Company as part of their sponsors at the Grand Pacific Hotel yesterday.

Their sponsorship comes in time in support of the team as they prepare for the last leg of the Fiji Rugby Union Super 7s Series to be held in Lautoka.

Jerry Tuwai thanked the sponsors for coming on board to help the team.

“I know it’s a difficult time to hand over sponsorship nowadays and for that we are grateful that you can lend your hand,” he said.

“You have given these boys an opportunity and the rest of the players the chance to showcase their talent and what they can do to help their families.

“We hope that one day they can help the country and put their country to the standard it is known for just like how the players before us did.”

General manager Brett Carter said they felt proud to make a contribution to Fiji rugby in a small way.

“We know how difficult it is to get funding and logistics, we’re just happy that Bumble Bee is able to assist in this manner. In all way we’re happy to make a contribution that will able this tournaments to go ahead and to give grassroots rugby the support they need.”

Carter said they were happy to assist the team as it would groom future national players.
