EXHIBITORS at the 2019 HOTEC Tradeshow have been able to secure new opportunities over the two day event.

Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association CEO Fantasha Lockington said the tradeshow had proven to be a lucrative business platform for the 34 exhibitors.

“I had one particular international exhibitor who told me that the five or so visits to her booth that she got had saved her almost five months of sales for her.

“That in itself is a big boost for her business so she was very happy to be part of the tradeshow.

“Another response that I got was if one visit to their booth translates to just one business that is already a bit sale for them.

“So that is the sort of feedback that we are getting and it is very encouraging because this is exactly why we organised a tradeshow for these industry partners.”

She said another important aspect of the tradeshow that they had been really pushing was for people to visit the Fiji Revenue Customs and Service booth to get their pin codes because it would be launched very soon.

“That is something that we find a lot of people still don’t know about. “So that was available for every person that came to the show,” she said.
