New leader takes up top job at Fiji Corrections Service

The Acting Commissioner of Corrections Sevuloni Naucukidi took office today, promising to upholding the highest standards within the Fiji Corrections Service.

He thanked the Constitutional Office Commission for the trust and confidence placed in him.

“I am honored to serve as the Acting Commissioner, and I look forward to working closely with the entire FCS team and the Ministry of Justice to tackle the challenges ahead and ensure the successful implementation of our reforms,” he said.

Minister of Justice, Siromi Tugara also met the acting Commissioner and his command group today.

“Our commitment to justice and rehabilitation remains steadfast,” said Mr Turaga.

“We must work together to enhance the support systems for both staff and inmates, ensuring that we pave the way forward while maintaining efficiency and transparency in the work we do.”

“The Fiji Corrections Service has made significant strides, but there are ongoing challenges that need our immediate attention,” he said.
