New hydrographic office to assist in safety of our maritime boundaries

A FULLY equipped Fiji Hydrographic Office which comes under the Republic of the Fiji Navy was officially opened at Walu Bay, Suva this afternoon.

Speaking at the event, Navy Commander Captain Humphrey Tawake said over the past three to five years the office has grown.

He said it was critical that FHO services was enhanced because it was critical for Fiji’s blue economy and the safety of our maritime boundaries.
