VODAFONE Fiji is expecting to launch international shipping option for their VitiKart platform in the next two months.
This was revealed by Vodafone Fiji’s head of brands, marketing and digital Saleshni Chand while speaking to this newspaper at the launch of Business Assistance Fiji’s annual micro small medium enterprise (MSME) conference in Suva last week.
Ms Chand said the international shipping option for VitiKart was part of their commitment to enhancing accessibility not only locally but international customers as well.
“In two months, we are expecting to launch this international shipping for VitiKart,” Ms Chand said.
“On the sharing note, I will say that from New Zealand, Australia, specifically, there are people who buy phones or products from VitiKart itself for the family and friends here, just to surprise them with a gift, they give all the address, and the delivery is done to the place.
“So that is helping them, because they can’t be here physically to do it, but they do order and transact, and we do deliver the order for them,” Ms Chand said.
Ms Chand added that the news comes alongside their renewed partnership as major sponsors for this year’s BAF MSME conference in Nadi next month.
“It’s something that we gave back to the community where our MSME who want to come on the platform, but they can’t do their own platform.
“There’s already in place subsidies and other schemes where they can enjoy the free signup to come on board and sell their products.
“To the extent that Vodafone advertises their products on the social media channels and this is something free coming to them as well. So, this is more of a win-win situation.
