The launch of Punjas Cream Biscuits has created 84 new jobs.
This was highlighted by managing director of Punjas Group Rajesh Punja during the launch in Lautoka yesterday.
In a statement, Mr Punja said the new biscuits combine unmatched creaminess with various flavours, creating “a delightful treat for all taste buds”.
“Available in eight flavours — Chocolate, Caramel Mocha, Strawberry, Orange, Vanilla, Lemon, Tropical and Lime, each biscuit offers a unique taste experience,” he said.
He said this year also marked Punjas Biscuit Ltd’s 10th anniversary.
“Over the past few years, we have seen a rise in demand for our biscuits, especially in export markets.
“We have invested $25million in a new state-of-the-art Italian biscuit line to meet this growing demand.”
Mr Punja said this expansion had boosted their production capacity and led them to expand into a new building adjacent to their existing plant.
“We are committed to investing in our country’s economic growth and creating new job opportunities. This investment has created 84 new jobs, bringing Punjas workforce to over 1400 employees.”
He said they had conducted extensive research and trials to develop exciting new flavours.
“Punjas Cream Biscuits are vegetarian, ensuring accessibility to a wider audience,” he said.
