COURTS CyberCity yesterday officially launched SolarCity in its Nakasi branch, a new arm dedicated to delivering accessible, sustainable and smart solar-powered solutions for homes and businesses across Fiji. “SolarCity represents a bold step forward in promoting clean energy by making high-quality solar products affordable and widely available,” Courts said in a statement.
“Distributed exclusively by Courts Cyber City, the SolarCity product range is designed to meet everyday energy needs—from basic lighting to full home systems and solar-powered entertainment solutions.”
Cyber City senior retail manager Prem Singh said the SolarCity concept reflected a growing interest from their customers in solar-powered products.
“For Cyber City, the ethos of the brand is we want to be accessible and attainable to the customers and also to provide solutions,” Mr Singh said at yesterday’s opening.
“One thing we realise is that with the accessibility of technology, a lot of people who want to use our technology are not able to because they don’t have access to electricity.
“Or those that do may be living in an area where there is intermittent power cuts while some people just want to play around with DIY (Do-It-Yourself) options.
“So today we have both the DIY solar options, where anybody can plug and play.
“Or home solar options using our Vision Energy arm of the organisation, where, if you want to power your entire house, you want to switch off the grid, you can do so with our solar systems.”
For now, the company is showcasing products from two popular solar brands, Sunking and Luminous.
Mr Singh said SolarCity will be made avalilable in all five Cyber City branches all over Fiji.
They are Cyber City in MHCC in Suva, Laucala Beach, Lautoka, Damodar City in Suva and Damodar City in Labasa.
