Thomas Baker Memorial School’s Lusia Nenewa claimed her second gold of the Coca Cola Games after a commanding performance in the intermediate girls 3000 metres.
The victory was a special one for the Nasauvakarua Navosa native after settling for bronze in the same event last year.
“I would like to dedicate this win to my parents and my coaches who have always supported me,” she said.
Yesterday she defended her 1500 metres title which she won last year in her first year in the intermediate grade.
Later today Nenewa is expected to anchor her 4X400 intermediate girls’ team who clocked one of the fastest times in the heats.
