Naura’s call-up | Kolinisau makes six changes for Vancouver 7s

A MONTH ago, Mosese Naura spoke into existence his eventual inclusion in the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s squad and now he is part of the national squad to the HSBC Vancouver 7s tournament.

Naura joined the national squad following the conclusion of the Perth 7s tournament and had his first training session with them three weeks ago.

He was scouted by head coach Osea Kolinisau after an impressive outing at the Coral Coast 7s earlier this year.

Naura is one of six changes Kolinisau made to his squad.

Captain Jeremaia Matana and Sevuloni Mocenacagi have been named after recovering from their respective injuries sustained during the Coral Coast 7s.

The 2016 Olympic gold medallist Fiji 7s winning captain has roped in Ilikimi Torosi, Waisea Nacuqu.

Iowane Teba, Pilipo Bukayaro, Suliano Volivoli, Kavekini Tanivanuakula and Rubeni Kabu are not in the final 13-member squad.

Fiji is in Pool C with Spain, Uruguay and the USA.

The national side will meet Uruguay in its first match next Saturday at 7.18am, they take on the USA in its second pool clash at 12.45pm.

Their final pool match is against Spain on Sunday, February 23, at 6.52am.

The Vancouver 7s will be held from next Saturday to Monday.
