To mark the National Toothbrushing Day, teachers of Twinkle Star and Day Care centre talked to children about the importance of brushing their teeth daily.

The centre’s director, Premina Singh said the teachers took the time to talk about their daily routines on toothbrushing and made sure the students understood why it’s important to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

“The toothbrushes and toothpaste were supplied by Colgate and was handed to our students,” Ms Singh said.

“It is important to practice good oral hygiene with regular brushing and it’s vital for the students to take care of their teeth and gums as it can prevent serious diseases.

“Having good teeth and gums also supports good mental health and self-confidence since we need to have clean healthy teeth to eat and to communicate better.”

The students during the day were also shown posters and pictures on oral health as it allowed them to better understand about their teeth.

The students at the centre always brush their teeth after lunch every day.
