National League title race heats up in Round 13

THE Extra Premier League title race is expected to intensify this weekend as all 10 teams return to action in Round 13 on Sunday.

League leaders Labasa FC face one of their toughest assignments of the season with an away clash against Nadi FC at Prince Charles Park. With every point crucial in the race for the championship, the Babasiga Lions will be aiming to maintain their place at the top of the standings against a determined home side.

Defending champions Rewa FC will also be looking to keep the pressure when they meet Nasinu FC at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa.

Another blockbuster encounter sees traditional rivals Suva FC host Ba FC at HFC Bank Stadium. Ba will be eager to continue its push up the ladder, while Suva will be out to make home advantage count.

At Uprising Sports Ground, Lautoka FC travels to face Navua FC in what promises to be another closely contested match, while Nadroga FC welcomes Tailevu Naitasiri FC to Lawaqa Park.

With only a handful of rounds remaining, every match carries extra importance as teams battle for the league title, top-four positions and valuable competition points.
