The Ministry for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management has been supporting the Ministry of Health and Medical Services in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, says Assistant Minister Vijay Nath.
“The NDMO, through the divisional commissioner offices, has been playing a pivotal role in the ongoing COVID-19 operations at the sub-national level,” he said.
“This includes ongoing assistance with information management capacity by the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), monitoring of the divisional operations and producing daily situation reports.”
He said the support assisted the Ministry of Health in their efforts to provide much needed assistance to affected communities.
