The Natabua U18 girls’ rugby team is fine-tuning its strategy as it prepare to face the U18 Raluve champion Dawasamu Secondary in the semi-final tomorrow at HFC Stadium.
Represented by students from Year 9 to 13, the team is brimming with excitement as it gears up for a challenging match against the Tailevu-based school.
Head coach and teacher Inoke Vucago praised the ongoing support from parents and the school, which he believes is crucial to their preparation.
“Our preparation has been going on well and for us our biggest supporters are our parents and the school.
“Parents are coming out in full force to support us,” Vucago said.
The coaching panel also boasts impressive credentials, including former Flying Fijians fly-half and Queen Victoria School Deans player Waisea Luveniyali, who is working alongside Yasawa head coach Taione Ratu.
Their expertise is expected to be a key factor in guiding the team through this high-stakes match.
