THE Nakalou Babas rugby teams will be playing to their best in a bid to take home the CMF Labasa division 7s tournament title that will start at Subrail Park today.
The ruggers from the coast of Macuata will not let their supporters down.
They will also leave no stones unturned in their effort to win the tournament and have vowed to give their best shots during the three-day tournament.
Team manager Sanaila Nayaga said the two teams comprised youths of Nakalou living in the village and also those who stayed in Suva.
“The boys were doing their own training but they came together on Tuesday for their team sessions at Labasa Sangam (SKM) Primary School grounds,” he said.
“They are here with a mission and that is to win the tournament. We are fortunate that we have the likes of Livai Ikanikoda, Semisi Naborisi and some other well-known players in our team.
“Both the teams have come prepared and we are banking on our supporters for their support.”
Nayaga added they were thankful to two of their sons residing overseas for sponsoring their new jerseys for the event.
“Two of our sons, Mosese Dunadamu and Josateki Rokotovitovi sponsored the teams’ new jerseys and this has come as a morale-booster for the players.
“We thank them for their support and I am adamant the boys will do their best during this tournament.”
