The Nadroga Football team is eagerly anticipating the start of the BiC Fiji FACT tournament, set to begin tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The team, led by head coach Varoon Karan, finds themselves in pool B alongside the Extra Premier League leaders Labasa, Nadi, and tournament hosts Suva.

“Preparations for the team have been going well, with the weather cooperating and the focus of the week’s training centered on improving ball possession,” said Karan.

Coach Karan acknowledges the tough competition in their pool but remains confident in the team’s ability to face any challenges that come their way.

“It’s a good pool I would say tough, but both the pools are tough; no team will be easy.

Looking ahead to their first match, Karan is optimistic about the team’s performance and emphasises their main aim in this year’s Fiji FACT is to do well on the field.

“First match is always the important match, we need to focus of the first match and do well, then let us take it step by step.”

With no injuries to contend with, the team is at full strength and eagerly anticipating their upcoming matches.

Encouraging supporters and fans to come out in numbers to support Nadroga, Karan is hoping for a strong show of support as they aim to make their mark in the tournament.

In Group A, defending champions Lautoka will be up against strong opponents in Rewa, Navua, and Ba.

The tournament’s group stages will run from May 30 to June 1 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, with the semi-finals and final scheduled for June 7-8.
