The stallions of Nadroga football find themselves in the company of teams such as Labasa, Nadi and Suva in Group B of the BiC Fiji FACT 2025, and they know how tough it will be when they go head-to-head.
Team director Navin Kant acknowledged the ferocity prevalent in the pool and understands how competition will intensify, stating “all the teams are prepared”.
“We know about Labasa; Labasa is undefeated in the National League and we have played the game last week with them and we know our weaknesses with Nadi,” Kant stated.
“Nadi is also a very good team; we know that. And they’ve got some of the Nadroga players over there as well, former Nadroga players, and they know well about the Nadroga strategy but our team will be working on it.”
To counter Nadi’s added advantage of fielding their former players, he said unity would prevail in such a circumstance.
“Our team will be working on it, and we will try to come as a team and we’ll be a competitive team in the Fiji FACT,” he stressed.
He added they are regarding all other teams as formidable ones since they would be entering the tournament fully prepared.
“Looking at the National League, you can see that none of the teams are weak at this time because the competition is going high in Fiji,” he said.
“We are sure that all the other teams will be prepared but we will be prepared for them too.”
Nadroga opens the Fiji FACT when they face Nadi in their first group match on Friday, May 30 at 12.30pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
