Courts store in Nadi Town finally reopened yesterday after being closed down for 14 months because of a fire last year with the new look store creating employment for five more people.
“We are now ready to serve and welcome all our Nadi Market Rd customers back as we move into the festive season,” said Courts general manager retail operations Hamendra Prasad.
Mr Prasad said after the unfortunate fire last year, the 15 staff working at their Nadi store were deployed to other stores.
“We have called back these staff and have employed five more people during this busy period.”
Courts chief marketing officer Anil Senewiratne said customers had missed out on two Diwali sales at the Nadi Town store and despite the challenges, they have added new range of items for better shopping experience.
“It is a convenient store for people visiting Nadi Town and we were making good sales prior to the fire and we hope to continue with the same momentum going forward.”
A good number of customers were present at the store yesterday taking advantage of Courts red pen deals.
