Nacuqu and Mocenacagi commend Kolinisau’s re-appointment

Fiji Airways Fiji 7s stars Waisea Nacuqu and Sevuloni Mocenacagi have expressed their excitement over the reappointment of Osea Kolinisau as the head coach of the Fiji 7s team.

Kolinisau has been re-appointed Fiji 7s coach for the next four years.

In a recent interview, the duo shared their thoughts on the upcoming season and their long-term goals, including the 2026 Rugby World Cup.

Both players were excited about Kolinisau’s return, citing his leadership qualities and deep understanding of the game.

Having played alongside Kolinisau, Nacuqu and Mocenacagi believe his experience as a player will resonate with the team as they prepare for a demanding season ahead.

” We are happy that Kolinisau is staying, he is a good coach and we know him because we play together and now he’s coach.

” He understands us well and he know his plans,” Nacuqu said.

With the 2024/2025 Sevens Series fast approaching, starting with the Dubai and Cape Town legs later this year, the duo acknowledged the need to focus on their fitness levels to stay competitive on the global stage

” Our main focus now is to improve our fitness and prepare well for the next 2024/2025 series starting with Dubai and Cape Town,” the duo added.

Beyond the upcoming season, Nacuqu and Mocenacagi have set their sights on the 2026 Rugby World Cup, aiming to secure spots in the squad.

” We are aiming for the 2026 RWC spot and we know it comes with alot of dedication and hardwork.”
