Nabua Primary School delivered a tough performance as they secured a hard-fought 12-7 victory against the formidable Saint Marcellin in the U12 Suva Kaji rugby competition held at the St Marcellin Primary School grounds in Vatuwaqa yesterday.
Coach Tomasi Vularewa acknowledged the tough nature of the competition, noting that some of their players are still in the developmental phase and are learning the sport of rugby.
“The competition has been really challenging, and some of our players are still learning the ropes of rugby, I’m glad that we have this opportunity to compete and learn, as many of our students aspire to become rugby players and represent our country in the future,” said Vularewa.
“Our preparation leading up to the game has been solid, we’ve been putting in the work after school, focusing on the basics and laying the foundation for future improvement.”
