DIGICEL Fiji and the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) yesterday jointly announced the availability of MyCash QR payments at all FRCS branches as well as at the Container Freight Stations (CFS) customs in the country.
This, they said, will enable MyCash users to conveniently make payments at FRCS through QR Pay, significantly improving customer experience by streamlining the payment process for greater accessibility and efficiency for people across Fiji.
Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed said this was a landmark achievement for the company.
“We are excited to bring the convenience of MyCash QR Pay to every FRCS branch,” he said.
“This roll-out is set to transform the payment experience for Fijians, making it faster, more convenient and secure.
“It’s a key journey towards greater digital financial inclusion and our dedication to offering customers cutting-edge, cashless solutions that streamline their daily financial transactions.”
FRCS head Udit Singh said the introduction of the MyCash QR Payment platform expands the range of payment options available to FRCS customers.
“This platform is not only convenient, secure and user-friendly, it also enables payments from all FRCS branches and CFS customs in Fiji through the MyCash mobile wallet.
“Our decision to integrate the MyCash wallet aligns seamlessly with FRCS’s strategic vision of becoming a digitally driven and future-focused organisation. “As outlined in our Strategic Plan, technology is a key enabler of transformation,” Mr Singh said.
MyCash customers can now use QR Pay to make digital payments for taxes or duties to the FRCS from their MyCash wallet.
The collaboration allows customers to make quick, secure and hassle-free payments by scanning the MyCash QR code.
According to Digicel Fiji, their customers can have access to MyCash by simply activating the service. For non-Digicel Fiji customers, they need to get a Digicel Fiji SIM in order to use MyCash.
Digicel Pacific MyCash now has over 2,500 QR Pay locations, including major supermarkets.
There are over 200 agents for easy deposits and withdrawals of funds, too.
The MyCash service facilitates seamless bill payments, and banks and other mobile wallets can easily do instant money transfers.
“MyCash is pivotal in Fiji’s digital transformation and financial inclusion, offering customers a game-changing way to manage money securely and conduct cashless transactions,” Digicel stated.
