Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player Motikiai Murray’s contract with the club has been extended.
The club announced its extension this afternoon in what it says will continue “a remarkable story for the talented flanker.”
Murray acknowledged the belief of the team’s coaches in him in helping him realise his the range of his capabilities.
“I am deeply grateful and would like to thank the coaches for believing in me and my potential. I hope that I will make my family and this club proud,” the Lovoni, Ovalau native stated.
At 22-years-old, Murray has already garnered a formidable streak with appearances for the Drua, debuting in the 2023 quarter-final of the Super Rugby Pacific competition against the Crusaders and has made 12 appearances since.
In that same year, he captained the Fiji under-20 team for the Junior World Rugby Championship in South Africa.
He has also made five appearances with the Fiji Warriors.
