SOME members of the Vodafone Fiji Bati team spent their day off at Crystal Creek yesterday.
The players – Jarryd Hayne, James Storer, Brayden Wiliame, Eloni Vunakece, Ben Nakubuwai, Korbin Sims – and team official Wes Naiqama took time off to enjoy the rock slide, waterfall and pools at the creek.
Other players were supposed to have gone to Magnetic Island.
Crystal Creek is about an hour’s drive from Townsville past the biggest nickel refinery in Australia.
The team’s training sessions today is expected to be more intense than Monday and Tuesday where they will spend the morning at the Mike Carney Toyota Park and the afternoon at the North Queensland Cowboys gym.
Fiji plays Wales on Sunday at 8.30pm (Fiji time).
