A YOUNG girl receiving life-saving cancer treatment in India through the help of generous donors is again pleading for help.
Nadi lass Manisha Narayan, 19, is suffering from acute myeloid leukemia.
She has so far responded well to chemotherapy, says family friend Alex Bee.
“Manisha has been in India for almost three weeks now,” Ms Bee said.
“The family has been so grateful to all the generous people who have donated so far.
“We are waiting to see if she has gone into remission but in the meantime, they’re prepping her for a bone marrow transplant in two weeks if all goes well.
“Her brother is a perfect match, which is awesome news.”
Ms Bee said the family needed to raise another $15,000 for the transplant.
Those wishing to contribute towards Ms Narayan’s cause can do so by depositing money at the ANZ Nadi branch account 11942348.
