Vodafone Fiji customers in Nadi and the Western Division will have access to a new and modern outlet at its Vodafone Premium branch situated at the FNPF Plaza.

The brand new outlet opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica yesterday is the first of three modern outlets that the renowned mobile network provider would be opening this year.

Acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad said apart from setting up similar outlets in Suva and Labasa, expansion of their networks was also in the works for 2023.

“In our other two upcoming investment projects in Suva and Labasa, we will replicate this modern structure and design,” he said.

“This is in line with our investment plan for the financial year including expanding capacity within the existing network, deployment of 25 new sites around the country and enabling 100 new satellite connectivity solutions spread across the country.”

He said the company’s journey in connecting Fijians was a testament of their continued investment.

“Vodafone Fiji’s incredible journey over the years and its continued contribution to the modernisation and economic development of Fiji and its transformation into a highly connected society has been reflected through our investment, products, and modern-day solutions.

“We aim to enable a strong digital Fijian economy by delivering state-of-the-art digital network architecture, delivering next-generation core network functions more securely and supporting a full-fledged cloud-based service.”

Meanwhile, Mr Kamikamica commended the mobile network giants for their contribution towards Fiji’s communication infrastructure and development.

“Vodafone Fiji has shared an incredible journey over the years and continues contributing to the modernisation and economic development of Fiji, contributing significantly to connecting our society,” he said.

“The millions invested over the years in mobile communications infrastructure have kept Fiji on par with the world and our citizens accessible to Government services.

“Through our partnership with Vodafone Fiji, we have seen delivery of satellite solutions to the unconnected in the most remote and interior parts of Fiji – this in itself is a shining example of ‘rebuilding Fiji together’.”
