Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Sashi Kiran has filed a complaint with the Online Safety Commission on a doctored video.
Ms Kiran has termed the video as fake.
The video has been posted by a Ronald Singh and has a speech delivered by Ms Kiran in 2021 alongside a picture of the National Federation Party leader, Prof Biman Prasad.
“The speech was a eulogy for Dr Brij Lal during his funeral in Australia in 2021 when I was not even in politics,” said Ms Kiran.
“For someone to use that and spread fake news is highly improper.”
“A complaint has been lodged with Online Safety Commission and Fijians should be aware this is fake and misinformation.”
